BNP flash back, Nick Griffin and Colonel Gadaffi

Nick Griffin and the BNP are well publicied as being extremely anti-Islamic.
In 1988 Nick Griffin whilste being a senior member of the National Front sought out financial funding from many extremist sources. Two of these such sources were Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini and Libya's Colonel Gadaffi. The trip Libya was paid for by the Libyan leader Colonel Gadaffi. The trip occurred after a female PC was shot and killed by Libyan diplomats outside their London Embassy and after a ship was stopped of Ireland that contained weapons and explosives destined for the IRA’s terror campaign against the British sent by Libya. Remember this is also the country that the terrorist that blew up the flight over Lockerbie came from.

Rwandan genocide suspect arrested in France

A Rwandan doctor wanted on charges of genocide and war crimes has been arrested in France, police say.

Sosthene Munyemana, 45, who had been working in a hospital in Bordeaux for eight years, denies the charges.
His arrest on an extradition warrant from Rwanda comes weeks after France and Rwanda restored diplomatic ties.
France had rejected an asylum bid by him in 2008, saying there were "serious reasons" to suspect his involvement in war crimes in 1994, AFP reported.
Some 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed in the 100-day massacre in 1994.

Mr Munyemana was released on bail, but must report to judicial officials until a court date is set.
He had been on the Interpol list of wanted men for a few years.
The arrest comes weeks after French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner made his first visit to Rwanda since diplomatic ties were restored in November. Relations between Paris and Kigali had been poor for several years but were severed in 2006 after a French judge accused President Paul Kagame and several senior officials of being behind the 1994 murder of Rwanda's Hutu President Juvenal Habyaremana.

The shooting down of his plane triggered the 1994 genocide.
Those suspected of being most responsible for the killings are being tried by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) based in Arusha, Tanzania.

Vietnamese dissidents' trial a mockery of justice

Amnesty International has called for the immediate and unconditional release of four Vietnamese prisoners of conscience jailed on Wednesday for their peaceful pro-democracy activism.
In a trial lasting one day, a court in Ho Chi Minh City convicted the four dissidents of "activities aimed at overthrowing the people's administration" and sentenced them to between five and 16 years in prison.

"These people should never have been arrested in the first place, let alone charged and sentenced. The trial allowed no meaningful defense for the accused, demonstrating all too clearly the lack of tolerance for free speech and peaceful dissent, and the court's lack of independence," said Brittis Edman, Amnesty International's Viet Nam researcher.
The sentences come against a backdrop of escalating repression against critics of the government. A new wave of arrests began in May 2009, targeting independent lawyers, bloggers and pro-democracy activists critical of government policies. Over 30 prisoners of conscience remain behind bars after unfair trials.

DUTCH FILMMAKER IN COURT OVER ANTI-ISLAM HATE SPEECH

Dutch far-right lawmaker Geert Wilders on Wednesday appeared in an Amsterdam court for the first time in connection with charges of inciting racial hatred against Muslims. Wilders, who has compared the Koran to Hitler's Mein Kampf, "has always made his statements in his capacity as a public representative," his lawyer Bram Moszkowicz argued at the start of the hearing, held amid heavy security.
The 46-year-old MP, creator of the controversial anti-Islam film Fitna, was greeted outside the Amsterdam district court by about 200 supporters, some of whom came from Belgium and Germany to attend the proceedings. Wednesday's hearing was to work out the modalities for Wilders' trial, for which no date has been set and which he claims is a "political process." Moszkowicz argued that this court had no jurisdiction to hear the case, arguing the Supreme Court was the competent authority for allegations involving misconduct by an MP. But prosecutor Birgit van Roessel said that "expressing his opinion in the media or through other channels is not part of an MP's duties." Lawmakers only enjoy immunity for their utterances when these are made in the confines of parliament.
Wilders faces five charges of religious insult and anti-Muslim incitement after a court last week dismissed his final challenge against the pending prosecution. He stands accused of insulting Muslims by describing Islam as a fascist religion and calling for the banning of the Koran. He is also charged with inciting hatred and discrimination for stating that Moroccan youths were violent, calling for Dutch borders to be closed to all "non-western immigrants", and advocating an end to what he terms "the Islamic invasion." Wilders faces up to two years in jail if convicted.

FACEBOOK 'HELP FOR HAITI' GROUP TURNS INTO RACIST SCAM

Tens of thousands of Czech Facebook users who joined a group that alleged it would donate financial support to Haitian earthquake victims had unwillingly become supporters of racist ideas as the group suddenly changed its description. Aktuálnì.cz learned about the con from its readers. According to its original description, the group named „For every member, 10 CZK (0.40 EUR) will be sent to help Haiti“ was started by Czech entrepreneurs to help the Caribbean nation. Soon, tens of thousands of Czech Facebook users joined the group - in the morning hours of Monday 19 January 2009, there were about 135 thousand registered.

“No reason to support an overpopulated species” However, already on Saturday 18 January 2009, the alleged noble cause turned into a cynical joke and racist propaganda. “Blacks are not an endangered, but rather overpopulated species. There is no single reason to support them,” the group founded by a user named Adéla Sobotková started to say on Sunday. The author added her own alleged experiences with non-white inhabitants of other countries. “I myself have seen in France and England how terrible it is for whites to live in quarters inhabited by blacks, Arabs or Pakis. The idea that someday they start to breed less and experience demographic decrease caused by low birth rate as in the case of white people, is naïve,” the author said. By 10:30 on Monday 19 January, the group appeared to be deleted.

Racist free Finland don’t it sound grand

Finlands security police (Supo) report that neo-Nazi groups in the country are failing to get support. Recession tends to create a boom of anti-immigrant/ethnic feeling but in Finland it appears it has not made a difference. And in fact the numbers has now fallen to level of 1990s actively. And even though the groups recently have created a website and attached racist stickers in prominent places in a number of Finish cities it has still not attracted any level of support.

Supo even have to admit that there only about a dozen real racist activists in the country and their impact on society and politics is non-existent.
We believe it should be a huge selling point for their country that they need to advertise.

PUSH FOR GOOGLE TO DEVELOP RACISM POLICY

The lawyer for an Aboriginal Alice Springs man says his client wants internet giant Google to attend mediation with him and produce a racism policy. Aboriginal broadcaster Steve Hodder-Watt complained to the Human Rights Commission about Google's listing of a racist website in its search results. The website, Encyclopedia Dramatica, used racist descriptions of Aboriginal people and Google has since taken down its listing. But Mr Hodder-Watt's lawyer George Newhouse says the search engine needs to come back with a more comprehensive response. "Google needs to respond to Steve," Mr Newhouse said. "They need to set up a proper system of dealing with these complaints and taking down racism. "And I also think the Government needs to address this issue. "It shouldn't take Steve Hodder-Watt to chase every rat down every drain to remove racist material from the internet." Google says it has a policy of removing sites when it receives a legal request. "We respond to complaints and review them by reference to applicable law and in this case, we removed the URLs identified to us from the search results on google.com.au," a Google spokeswoman said. "In the interest of transparency, the search results now provide notice that pages have been removed in response to a legal request and in their place is a link to chillingeffects.org, which catalogues these removals as well as the legal ground for the removal."

HUNGARY'S FAR RIGHT LAUNCHES 2010 ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Hungary's right-wing party Jobbik launched its general election campaign, promising to promote local businesses over multinationals and tackle crime which it blames on the large Roma minority. "Now, at last, radical change can come," Gabor Vona, Jobbik's chairman and its candidate for prime minister told about 3000 people at a rally near Budapest. "With a stroke of the pen, or rather two, we can put an end to the last 20 years." Members of the Hungarian Guard, a nationalist organisation dissolved by court order last year for fuelling ethnic tensions and disrupting public order were prominently present dressed in uniform at the rally in a sports arena. Jobbik, capitalising on discontent over the country's economic crisis, has scored consistently around 10 percent among decided voters in recent polls. In June 2009, the party won 15 percent of the vote in elections to the European Parliament.

The party has promised to protect local land ownership from foreign buyers and to direct business subsidies to local small businesses rather than multinational corporations. Jobbik also backs autonomy claims of ethnic Hungarians living in neighbouring countries such as Slovakia and Romania. Jobbik has said it wants to preserve Hungary's national heritage, to tie welfare benefits to work and to create a special police unit to tackle what it calls "Gypsy crime". Its programme could increase the ethnic tensions that have plagued Hungary in recent years, analysts say.

Nick Griffin to speak at American white supremacist conference in February 2010

Although the British National Parties BNP leader in the UK continues to claim publicly that he is not a white supremacist or he has neo-Nazi friends. In February 2010 he will be a guest speaker at the American Renaissance conference in Northern Virginia.

Critics say that some of those who attend are neo-Nazis, white nationalists, white separatists, Ku Klux Klan members, Holocaust deniers and eugenicists Recently we reported that in the USA in 2009 the number of hate groups was 944 and rising and hate crimes figures are obviously also rising.

Yet Griffin once again courts the attention of the people who not only attend these groups but run these groups.

Is this the action of a British politician that claims to represent Britain?

Hate Crimes Rise Follows BNP Victories

Documented cases of hate crime increased in wards in the West Midlands, London and Essex after the election of a BNP member to the local councils, despite the fall of crimes in wider police areas. These findings come as the BNP begin their 2010 general election campaign in earnest in Barking and Dagenham where party Fhurer Nick Griffin will be running.
Should we be surprised?

Well not really, what we should be more suprised about is that there are figures to demonstrate this. In 2009 the UK government released a report stating that most hate crimes are never reported, so the figures will actually be a lot higher than the Guardian newspaper story covered. Although the UK’s government recognise this fact it is having very little impact in changing it.

Only in 2009 did the USA seriously begin to recognise that hate crime incidents motivated by race, relegion, sexual orientaion were different to other crimes. And have finally establised laws to deal with the incidents, which is quite alarming when in 2009 the Sothern Poverty Law Centre (a very large civil rights organisation) stated there were 926 active ‘hate groups’ in the USA and the FBI figures for 2008 showed 9,691 incidents; that’s not all incidents in the USA, just ones serious enough to be investigated by the FBI. Up until now the hate element of the crime was not recorded by the avarage police department, so there are no reliable figures.
Now in a country where free speech allows hate speech should we be surprised that hate flourishes? Probably not. And we should not be surprised either that the BNP also campaign for the removal of laws that prevent hate speech.

The figures support the simple fact that where the BNP take hold, hate rises. And if we ever give them a free hand to remove the restrictions to prevent them using hate speech we should be ready for a hell of a lot more.

Hate Groups Using Social Networking Sites to Recruit and Inform

Yesterday on the anti-BNP Hope Not Hate website an item about the apparent cracks that are appearing in the anti-Islamic Group the English Defence League was published. We found this article an interesting read but it only briefly mentions the fact that the EDL use social networking sites as a way to gain support and spread hate propaganda.

Yet again another hate group comes to light that have found a valuable tool in the allowance of social networks to refuse to take a moralistic stance and do something to help combat race/religious/sexuality hate promotion on their sites. Until they decide that although free speech should not be silenced, hate speech is a different language and should be prevented.

Claims of Hate Crime due to Social Networking Site

POLICE have vowed to clamp down on hate crimes across Teesside after claims two people were targeted through social networking sites.

The Safer Middlesbrough Partnership and partner agencies operate a monthly Hate Crime Case Group to tackle harassment.
A hate crime is any criminal offence motivated by hostility or prejudice based on the victom’s disability, race, religion or belief, sexual orientatio or transgender.
Recently the group dealt with two reported cases of internet- based hate crime after the victims were targeted through social networking sites because of their race or religious backgrounds.

Sergeant Ian Sharp, from Cleveland Police’s community safety unit, said: “We will not tolerate any form of hate crime in Middlesbrough, and will use all the resources at our disposal to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
“They will be firmly dealt with by the police and other criminal justice agencies.”
The group includes the Safer Middlesbrough Partnership, Cleveland Police, Crown Prosecution Service, North of England Refugee Service, Erimus Housing, Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency, Anti-Social Behaviour Team, the BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Network, Victim Support, Tees Valley Housing, Unite and Middlesbrough Council.

Matt Fowler, Safer Middlesbrough Partnership co-ordination and development support officer, said: “While the internet and online world can be a means of bringing people together and providing new forums for social contact, individuals can also be at risk from unwanted contact, inappropriate behaviour and potentially harmful content.
“We also have evidence of the internet being exploited by those who want to spread messages of hate.

“We would urge all users of the social networking sites, such as Facebook, to exercise caution and control when adding individuals to their contacts who request friendship, if they are previously not known to them.”

Anyone who experiences hate crime from any source is urged to report it to Cleveland Police on 01642-326326.

Is Nazism still a problem in today's society?

This week at the University of Huddersfield a couple of students are in trouble for setting up a Facebook page for a Nazi-inspired drinking game. The rules includes giving Nazi salutes, calling a player Mein Fuhrer, laying out the cards in swastika shape and drinking a pint of alcohol called ‘The Holocaust’. This is obviously being taken ‘very seriously’ by the University.

I am sure we all also remember the incident in 2005 with Prince Harry wearing a swastika armband to a fancy dress party, and the public outcry that followed.

WW2 ended over 60 years ago – does it really matter whether a group of kids use the terminology of the Nazi party in a drinking game? Or if a public figure wears a costume? Is it just another example of a nanny state and political correctness gone mad?

But human nature allow us to laugh at things that were once horrifying or scary once the danger has passed, which would imply that the Nazi party are no longer relevant in today’s society. So are we failing to make our younger generation aware of how close the modern-day far-right are to the Nazi party, with their Hitler worship and hate codes? Are we failing to make sure the next generations will not forget the lessons learnt by the defeat of Hitler and the Third Reich?

Most of us are outraged by this type of story because we understand what the Nazi’s did to millions of people, and that the Nazi party is not dead and gone. It is alive and well in most Western countries; Neo-Nazism is on the rise and here in the UK we are fighting the BNP, who have learnt to present a more watered-down, user-friendly version of themselves in an attempt to gain political power.

It is our responsibility to make sure the fate of the millions people murdered by the Nazi Party must continue to be taught to make sure history is never allowed to repeat itself.

5,000 People Oppose Neo-Nazi March in Germany

More than 5,000 people gathered in Magdeburg on Saturday to form a ‘Mile of Democracy’, to commemorate the bombing of the town 65 years ago – and to try to stop neo-Nazis exploiting the anniversary for their purposes.

Around 1,000 neo-Nazis had secured permission to march through the town, to supposedly mark the deaths of the thousands killed in the bombing raids of January 16, 1945.

Interior minister for Saxony Anhalt, Holger Hövelmann, said, “The neo-Nazis who today make as if they are grieving for those Germans killed in the air raids, perpetuate the sowing of hatred for other people and different ways of thinking.”
He said it was a provocation and an insult to all victims of the war that neo-Nazis should march on such an anniversary.
Some of those opposing the neo-Nazi march tried to stop it, attempting to break through police lines. A police spokesman said that 1,200 police officers were there, and arrested 11 people. They used truncheons at times, to keep the neo Nazis and opponents apart.
More than 100 associations, voluntary organisations, church groups and parties had joined forces to organise the ‘Mile of Democracy’, which was first held last year when locals decided to oppose the annual neo-Nazi march.

“Blow up the planes, trains and automobiles” Mr Griffin?

In a interview in the European Parliament July 2009 Nick Griffin leader of the BNP notoriously stated that “immigrants should be prevented from entering Africa by the advocation of “Sinking the Boats”.

The following is what was actually said in the interview by Nick Griffin

"But the only measure, sooner or later, which is going to stop immigration and stop large numbers of sub-Saharan Africans dying on the way to get over here is to get very tough with those coming over. Frankly, they need to sink several of those boats. Anyone coming up with measures like that, we'll support, but anything which is there as a 'oh, we need to do something about it' but in the end doing something about it means bringing them into Europe we will oppose."

Shirin Wheeler, the programme's presenter, interrupted him to say the EU did not murder people. "I didn't say anyone should be murdered at sea – I say boats should be sunk, they can throw them a life raft and they can go back to Libya," Griffin said. "But Europe has, sooner or later, to close its borders or it's simply going to be swamped by the third world."

Yet a very interesting article has appeared on the BBC website today which states that Spain, has revealed that the numbee of immigrants arriving in the country from Africa by boats has halfed in 2009.

And actually the figures state that the number of people arriving in the Canary islands by these so called boats Mr Griffin has fallen from 9,181 in 2008 to 2,246 in 2009.

We should expect this fact to be ignored by Mr Griffin and the BNP and their ilk across europe but on the other hand we might just get Mr Griffin stating they are now arriving by some other means.

So a “blow up the planes, trains and automoblies” statement might be coming soon.

Witness In The Last Holocaust Trial Gives Harrowing Account

The independent Today reports on the trial of what people are calling “the last Holocaust trial” that of the former Nazi SS guard John Demjanjuk, Ukrainian citizen, who was extradited to Germany from America last year, is accused of complicity in the murder of 27,900 mainly Dutch Jews.

One eye witness to the attrocites of the Nazi a Mr Thomas Blatt, who was a
Sobibor survivor said 'I polished SS boots as dying people screamed'

Yet Thomas "Toivi" Blatt is no ordinary senior citizen. Aged 82, he is one of the last people alive to have survived the hell of the Nazi extermination camps in which millions were systematically slaughtered by brutal German and Ukrainian SS henchmen during the Second World War.
Only 82 people are still alive of the people who survived the death factory camps of Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec and Auschwitz-Birkenau in Nazi-occupied Poland. Thomas Blatt is one of them. He still has a bullet lodged in his jaw to show for it. He got it when he was shot in the face and had to "play dead" after a miraculous escape from Sobibor in October 1943.

This Tuesday, having travelled from his home in California, he will enter the witness box in the clinical surroundings of Munich's modern neon-lit criminal court and recall the horror he endured as a 15-year-old Jewish prisoner in Sobibor, where 250,00 people including his parents and his 10-year-old brother were murdered.
