Is Nazism still a problem in today's society?

This week at the University of Huddersfield a couple of students are in trouble for setting up a Facebook page for a Nazi-inspired drinking game. The rules includes giving Nazi salutes, calling a player Mein Fuhrer, laying out the cards in swastika shape and drinking a pint of alcohol called ‘The Holocaust’. This is obviously being taken ‘very seriously’ by the University.

I am sure we all also remember the incident in 2005 with Prince Harry wearing a swastika armband to a fancy dress party, and the public outcry that followed.

WW2 ended over 60 years ago – does it really matter whether a group of kids use the terminology of the Nazi party in a drinking game? Or if a public figure wears a costume? Is it just another example of a nanny state and political correctness gone mad?

But human nature allow us to laugh at things that were once horrifying or scary once the danger has passed, which would imply that the Nazi party are no longer relevant in today’s society. So are we failing to make our younger generation aware of how close the modern-day far-right are to the Nazi party, with their Hitler worship and hate codes? Are we failing to make sure the next generations will not forget the lessons learnt by the defeat of Hitler and the Third Reich?

Most of us are outraged by this type of story because we understand what the Nazi’s did to millions of people, and that the Nazi party is not dead and gone. It is alive and well in most Western countries; Neo-Nazism is on the rise and here in the UK we are fighting the BNP, who have learnt to present a more watered-down, user-friendly version of themselves in an attempt to gain political power.

It is our responsibility to make sure the fate of the millions people murdered by the Nazi Party must continue to be taught to make sure history is never allowed to repeat itself.

5,000 People Oppose Neo-Nazi March in Germany

More than 5,000 people gathered in Magdeburg on Saturday to form a ‘Mile of Democracy’, to commemorate the bombing of the town 65 years ago – and to try to stop neo-Nazis exploiting the anniversary for their purposes.

Around 1,000 neo-Nazis had secured permission to march through the town, to supposedly mark the deaths of the thousands killed in the bombing raids of January 16, 1945.

Interior minister for Saxony Anhalt, Holger Hövelmann, said, “The neo-Nazis who today make as if they are grieving for those Germans killed in the air raids, perpetuate the sowing of hatred for other people and different ways of thinking.”

He said it was a provocation and an insult to all victims of the war that neo-Nazis should march on such an anniversary.

Some of those opposing the neo-Nazi march tried to stop it, attempting to break through police lines. A police spokesman said that 1,200 police officers were there, and arrested 11 people. They used truncheons at times, to keep the neo Nazis and opponents apart.
More than 100 associations, voluntary organisations, church groups and parties had joined forces to organise the ‘Mile of Democracy’, which was first held last year when locals decided to oppose the annual neo-Nazi march.

“Blow up the planes, trains and automobiles” Mr Griffin?

In a interview in the European Parliament July 2009 Nick Griffin leader of the BNP notoriously stated that “immigrants should be prevented from entering Africa by the advocation of “Sinking the Boats”.

"But Europe has, sooner or later, to close its borders or it's simply going to be swamped by the third world."

Yet a very interesting article has appeared on the BBC website today which states that Spain, has revealed that the numbee of immigrants arriving in the country from Africa by boats has halfed in 2009.

And actually the figures state that the number of people arriving in the Canary islands by these so called boats Mr Griffin has fallen from 9,181 in 2008 to 2,246 in 2009.

We should expect this fact to be ignored by Mr Griffin and the BNP and their ilk across europe but on the other hand we might just get Mr Griffin stating they are now arriving by some other means.

So a “blow up the planes, trains and automoblies” statement might be coming soon.

Witness In The Last Holocaust Trial Gives Harrowing Account

Only 82 people are still alive of the people who survived the death factory camps of Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec and Auschwitz-Birkenau in Nazi-occupied Poland. Thomas Blatt is one of them. He still has a bullet lodged in his jaw to show for it. He got it when he was shot in the face and had to "play dead" after a miraculous escape from Sobibor in October 1943.

This Tuesday, having travelled from his home in California, he will enter the witness box in the clinical surroundings of Munich's modern neon-lit criminal court and recall the horror he endured as a 15-year-old Jewish prisoner in Sobibor, where 250,00 people including his parents and his 10-year-old brother were murdered.

Yesterday the UKIP party took another step towards the ideology of the BNP and their radical racial views. For some time now the BNP have been jumping up and down shouting beware Islam like some demented child and thus gaining support from people who believe their hate propaganda.

Now it appears UKIP has decided they want a piece of the action as they have now put forward their argument to ban the burka and the niqab — the Islamic cloak that covers women from head to toe.

Lord Pearson of Rannoch, the leader of UKIP said “We are taking expert advice on how we could do it. It makes sense to ban the burka — or anything which conceals a woman’s face — in public buildings. But we want to make it possible to ban them in private buildings. It isn’t right that you can’t see someone’s face in an airport.”

He went on to say “We are not Muslim bashing, but this is incompatible with Britain’s values of freedom and democracy.”.

Eh? So a value of freedom and democracy is then to ban a relegious garment?

Sorry Lord Pearson, you are talking gibberish.

Freedom and democracy gives the person the right to wear such items. Inflicting a ban on them is thus removing the persons freedom in a democracy.

Also are balaclavas, scarfs over faces, hoodies, hallowen masks also going to be banned? Or could it be just because it’s a relegious item?

Or is this as many expect a simple act to try and gain votes of the people who are torn between voting for UKIP or the BNP.

Neo-Nazi Storms Out Of Oregon Campus Meeting

Neo-Nazi Jimmy Marr of the Pacifica Forum stormed out of the University of Oregon forum on Friday afternoon during a discussion about the Swastika.

Hundreds gathered on Friday to protest against the group called Pacifica Forum who they claim openly promotes hate speech. The group were holding a discussion at Agate Hall called “Symbolism of the Swastika.” The discussion included Jimmy Marr, a self-proclaimed neo-Nazi.

“Despite what this group says, they are violent. They are not executing free speech, they are executing hate speech,” protesters wrote on a Facebook group.

On Friday protestors packed the Agate Hall disgusted at the presence of Marr.

Upset at the protester’s presence, Marr left the discussion before his scheduled time to speak.

Waffen SS Hit Squad Accomplice Testifies at Nazi war Trial

In Achen, Germany today Jacobus Petrus Besteman accomplice to a former Nazi Death squad member Heinrich Boere testified in his trial for the murder of three Dutch civilians in 1944.

Speaking via a video link from the Netherlands he said that "All those who participated were afraid of not following an order. That was very dangerous,”

However when asked did he know of anyone who had not carried out an order, he admitted he did not. The trial continues Monday.

BNP Gold Member Terence Gavan sentenced to 11 years in jail

Terence Gavan the BNP Gold member has been sentenced to 11 years in prison a few hours ago. He pleaded guilty to 22 charges including making nail bombs, homemade weapons firearms manufacturing and having in possession a number of banned documents.

The recent rioting caused by African immigrants in the picturesque town of Rosarno, Italy has brought to light a disturbing fact of how organised crime within the country is still extremely widespread.

The riots broke out after it now appears three local residents shot a number of the legal immigrants with pellet guns.

Immigrants who arrive in Italy find themselves ending up trapped in a system where they work 10 – 14 hours a day for around $3 an hour. They live in improvised shelters of shacks or tents without any of the modern appliances or basic human resources we take for granted. They have no right to health care and support service’s/organisations to aid them are extremely scarce, non-white police are never seen and therefore many immigrants do not report any form of crime they fall victim to and often people go missing and are believed to be killed.

So these people become prime picking's for the organised crime gangs within the country as a slave labour force. And you can understand why. They receive a higher rate of pay, better living conditions and apparently better treatment from such gangs than the Italian government or officials give them.

Incidentally Italy’s parliament has only one non-white person representative

Still the Rosarno riots highlight the fact that this is a very volatile situation and at any moment more civil unrest can occur and that racism seem to be very much ingrained into the Italian governmental system which is obviously torn between acceptance of the immigrants and very xenophobic stance.

Many countries have now addressed these concerns to Italy. But as of yet Italy seems reluctant to really fully deal with the situation and until they do we should expect more of such incidents.

BNP Gold member to face sentencing for terrorism charges

Later today a BNP Gold member Terence Gavan will face sentencing at the Old Bailey for 22 charges under UK terrorism laws. Paul Gavan who has the BNP Gold membership number of 130757 when arrested was found to have 54 Nail bombs, and home made firearms, manuals on making booby traps, improvised weapons manual, anarchists cookbook to name a few.

Funnily the BNP have totally ignored this incident and are obviously hoping it will go away.

Giant Swastika Carved on Frozen German Lake

German police are investigating the carving of a giant swastika measuring five metres on a frozen lake in the northern German city of Schwerin, that occurred on Monday.The unknown Vandals scraped the banned Nazi symbol with snow shovels or so it is believed, last Friday the 8th. They also carved other Nazi slogans and symbols as well on the lake.

Under German law any use or display of Nazi symbols or slogans is strictly forbidden.

Last Of The Ann Frank Hiders Dies

Miep Gies the last survivor of the people who hid and tried to save Ann Frank and her family has died. She and other employees of Anne Frank's father Otto supplied food to the family as they hid in a secret annex above the business premises in Amsterdam.

Ann’s diary of her time hiding has become a legendary symbol of the Nazi hate imitative seen through the eyes of a child. Miep found the diary in the annex after Ann and the family where arrested and kept it safe until later she managed to return it to Otto, Ann’s father.

Miep Gies died in a nursing home aged 100 just before Christmas.

Race Riots Grip Italian Town

Over the past weekend extreme race riots have erupted in the working-class city of Rosarno, Italy which included cars being burned, shops being damaged and more than 70 people, including 30 immigrants, 19 policemen and 17 Italians were injured.

Due to these riots the local authorities put more than a thousand African workers aboard trains and buses and shipped them to immigrant detention centres following the worst riots the country has seen in years.

It is believed that the riot was started following what the workers believed to be racist attack on a 2 legal immigrant worker with a pellet-guns by locals. Authorities are unsure who pulled the trigger but they are investigating the theory that organised crime may have been linked to the incident.

When the BNP come to town remember

From a Child to Hate Preacher in 6 months with BNP grooming.

In 2009 a You Tube user by the name of Safcman appeared on the video sharing website. His first video blog post, although being critical of the ethnic minorities, was not really hateful but just views put across through misunderstanding and mixed with typical British National Party immigrant/anti-Islam, well publicised propaganda lies.

However 6-7 months on, this now teenager actively advocates the murder of Muslims and spreads racist hate through his videos and comments. Recently he posted a video that has been banned across many internet sites which, in a cartoon format, depicted a Jew stabbing a Muslim and then shouting “Anti-Semitic hate" when he was to be arrested and he now also posts extreme racial comments like the one pictured.

So how did this happen, and why?
The simple truth is the corruption of this person is not an accident.
Any user who posts a video on the You Tube web site that relates in anyway to the BNP or their views faces extreme abuse or racist grooming depending on which side of the agenda they are on.

Firstly: the people who post anti-BNP videos.

As stated anyone who posts a video that challenges or criticises the BNP or their policies runs the gauntlet of extreme abuse, stalking, false video flagging and even violent threats. Very seldom is it from just one person but more like a horde and it’s often the same people doing it.

The new video poster more than often removes the video or his comments. Although the user can and does block and report the more extreme cases, the person causing the abuse often just creates a new You Tube user profile and then just carries on with his hateful campaign.

But what if you post a video expressing concern about immigration or Islamic ideology?

The BNP supporters swarm to the video with comments of support and admiration, often their comments will create falsehoods that directly affect the user and his video. Things like “don’t expect your video to get a lot of views because the anti-bnp’ers on here make sure people don’t watch it” etc. obviously these are simple lies. More often than not the video is not well done or informative; in other words it’s simply boring.

Why does one kitten video do better than another kitten video? Who knows, but as far as we are aware there are no anti-kitten video groups on you tube controlling viewing so no cute kitten video mafia.
But through posting comments like that the BNP supporters immediately create an “them against us” and a “they want to stop all free speech” view on the site to their new prey.

Friend invites, messages, subscriptions soon follow. The new user will often post another video but now it has a little bit more extreme view, not to the level of hate speech but regular users of the site can often see the step up in racist attitude and leanings towards the BNP. And as more and more videos are uploaded their hate and leanings grow. Often they will accuse everyone who does not agree with them as being fascist, Nazi, race traitor etc. Accusations of being members of the UAF are common and the old Goering ideology of “if you’re not for us you are against us (Britain)” is claimed again and again.

So what can we do?
Active groups and users that oppose racial hate preachers need to be formed, support must be offered to people who are victims of the BNP “New User” attack, truth instead of race hate lies needs to be the standard, and facts supplied rather than name calling offered as a defence. Basically people need to do what the BNP are actively doing.
Unlike any other political party’s members the BNP are directly creating followers to their platform through this simple procedure. Not only are they creating followers they are creating the hate preachers of tomorrow. And unless people do something there will be many more Safcman’s in the years to come.

Facebook Argue Holocaust Denial Not Anti-Semitic Hate Speech

In 2009 an interesting article appeared on the UK’s BBC web site that has largely been over looked.

It relates to the internet and does Facebook have the right to decide that a holocaust denial group is not hate speech yet a KKK group is. As holocaust denial in its essence expresses a denial of events rather than a impartial examination isn’t it in fact Anti-Semitic and obviously a tool

for the promotion of hate speech.
